Grand Slam of Aces, Solidarity in the Field

Croatian tennis stars challenge each other on a Casali court in a charity tournament. Famous international Croatian tennis stars like Ivan Lubicic, third place in the ATP in 2006, Goran Ivaniševic and the emerging players Nicola Mektic and Franco Škugor took part in the Gran Slam of Aces which was held in Osijek, Croatia on 9th December 2010. After “warming up” with young players and fledglings of the Osijek Tennis Club, these international aces competed in some very exciting matches on a court realised with Casali’s Conforsport. The money raised by the tournament, which was organised by the Osijek Olimpija Tennis Club, will go to charity. A part will be used to help a promising young Croatian tennis player who has a brain tumour and a part will be used to support another two associations, one which cares for children with the Down syndrome and the other involved in the prevention of addictions. The event was a great sports festival and show which attracted a gala public, demonstrating yet again that in the case of solidarity you can tell a real champion off the field.
